I was parking at my mother-in-law's home for a visit and saw this pup walking up the street. I quickly rolled down my window and made kissing noises to get his attention. He stopped thankfully! I parked my car and went up to him. He was so sweet and came right to me for some pets. Grabbed a leash from the car and looked around for anyone that may be looking for him.
I didn't see anyone so I loaded him up in my car and went straight to the animal shelter and filed a report. They so kindly said I could keep him at my home until the owners were found. I was overjoyed. I can only imagine how scary a shelter can be for animals; loud, they're all alone and missing their family.
I went on and made a posting for him which was shared to Facebook. Many people shared and commented on his posting and word spread quickly. His owner had posted a lost pet post on another website. Someone who had seen their post saw mine and put two and two together and sent me a link to the post. I then got a call from his mom and she lived just a few doors down from my mother-in-law's! He slipped through a gate that they may have accidentally left unlocked.
